BBM For Android GingerBread Released.

Prior to this update, the BBM for Android app was compatible with devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and higher. But with the addition of support for Gingerbread hardware may not seem like a big deal, but it's actually a pretty important move for BlackBerry that opens BBM up to a large group of new users.

According to Google's most recent Android platform distribution numbers, Gingerbread claims the second-largest group of users behind Android 4.1-4.3 Jelly Bean, and so it's smart for BlackBerry to make its BBM app work with Gingerbread devices.
