Most people if not all who owns a personal computer (PC) often password protect their PC either for security or privacy reasons. But did you know that you can lock and unlock your PC with a Usb Pendrive? If you didn't, then you are in the right place because am going to show you how to lock and unlock your PC with a Usb drive.
I know this method might be out-dated but nevertheless, for those that haven't come across it yet, I will be posting it for you.
How to Lock and Unlock PC via Usb:
To lock and unlock a pc via usb, we will be making use of a free software called "Predator". For those that are afraid, don't panic predator is a free software ( though it has a paid version, the free version is enough for this trick).
How to Use Predator:

After complete download and installation, connect the usb device and setup Predator with a password (steps on how to setup password will be given).
For the first time, it will check every 30secs if the usb has been disconnected or not, so make sure not to disconnect your usb drive.
Also if someone tries to unlock your pc with a wrong password, Predator will play an alarm sound and then notify by either sms or email provided.
How to Lock PC with USB:
1. Download and install Predator from the above link.
2. After complete installation, launch Predator and connect a USB drive. Now enter your desired password and make sure to click USB device from the drop down menu and click on the "Create Key".
3. After successful creation Predator will exit.
Now click on the predator icon in the Taskbar or desktop menu and try unplugging your USB device, now your PC will lock itself automatically.
4. Now you can unlock your pc by just inserting the USB device back to the PC.
TIP
If you misplace your Usb device, don't panic because Predator will only require your password you created above to unlock even if the Usb drive has been misplaced.
Also feel free to use your usb device for storing your files because Predator will never corrupt your files present in your Usb drive.
